NITWOG had launched a first hiking campaign within the Shivpuri Nargajun National Park north of Kathmandu on August 14, 2021. The main goal of the campaign is to ease the chaotic life of the tourism workers as the tourism industry has been stalled for a long time due to Covid 19, said Ram Kaji Prayas, Chairman of NITWOG. Continuing the campaign, the second campaign was concluded on September 21, 2021.

The third campaign was started by entering from Phulbari entrance of Lubhu lamatar at 9:45 am. The hikers reached Lakuri bhangjhyang at an altitude of 2,000 m above sea level and returned to Lubhu Lamatar entrance by the same route.

Campaigner NITWOG on the third day of “Let’s Resume Tourism” displayed posters in Lakuri Bhanjhyang with slogans such as “Don’t Kill Tourism & Workers, We Need Work for Live, Respect Our Skills and Knowledge, No More Quarantine, Resume Tourism Resume and Living”.

According to NITWOG, the poster campaign with such slogans has tried to draw the attention of the government workers, the Ministry of Tourism, the Department or the Tourism Board by raising public awareness among the workers with solidarity.
