NITWOG had launched a first Hiking campaign in the Shivpuri Nargajun National Park north of Kathmandu on August 14, 2021. The main goal of the campaign is to ease the chaotic life of the tourism workers as the tourism industry has been stalled for a long time due to Covid 19, said Ram Kaji Prayas, Chairman of NITWOG . Continuing the campaign, the second campaign was concluded on September 21, 2021.
The second campaign was started by entering Shivpuri Nargajun National Park from Phulbari entrance of Goldhunga at 9:45 am. The hikers reached Jamacho Gumba Danda at an altitude of 2100 m above sea level and returned to Phulbari entrance by the same route.
Campaigner NITWOG on the second day of “Let’s Resume Tourism” displayed posters in Jamacho gumba with slogans such as Don’t Kill Tourism & Workers, We Need Work for Live, Respect Our Skills and Knowledge, No More Quarantine, Resume Tourism Resume and Living.
According to NITWOG, the Poster campaign with such slogans has tried to draw the attention of the government workers, the Ministry of tourism, Tourism department and Nepal Tourism Board by raising public awareness among the tourism workers campaign with solidarity.
